Don't Take This Shortcut to Grow Your Fiverr Account

Don’t take this shortcut to grow your Fiverr account.

In yesterday’s post I shared my experience of offering content writing services on Fiverr. I have got a fair level of success on Fiverr but most beginners struggle to grow on the platform. As I have also said all you need to get going is the first few orders on your Gig. Once you have a couple of ratings and reviews your Gig will start ranking in Fiverr search and then your growth will be immense.

But after waiting a couple of weeks when some beginners don’t receive any order on their Gig they start thinking about taking shortcuts. One very common solution they come up with is asking family and friends to order their Gig and then give them five star ratings and a nice review.

As I have written as many as five posts about Fiverr so far many people reached out to me to get their Gig checked. I found most of them are taking this shortcut to grow their account. At first, It may seem like a good idea as you will get your first few orders but trust me it is not.

I used to think the same back in 2020 and I have even tried taking shortcuts with no growth at all. My first Fiverr account which I created back in 2017 got disabled around August 2020. It had 50+ star reviews so I created a new Fiverr account. I didn’t want to wait for buyers to find my Gig and place the orders so I reached out to my friends to place orders on my Gig.

In the next one week I tricked the system to get seven orders with five star reviews and good reviews. After it I started waiting for my Gig to grow naturally but that never happened. I didn’t receive a single order on that account.

Whereas on my First account in which I never took any shortcut all the orders were organic and the account was performing very well. Even after the failure with my second account when I created my third account and this time waited for orders to come naturally. This account also grew to Level-1 with 42 complete orders.

So what I understood with this real world experience is taking fake orders with reviews and ratings won’t grow your Fiverr account. You should also stop wasting your time and efforts on these shady techniques. All you need is a solid Gig targeting keywords for your services, staying online on the platform and you should definitely get your first orders.

In some instances, Fiverr may also ban your account from their platform if they find out that you are tricking the system and asking your friends and family members to place orders on your Gig. That’s all that I wanted all of you to know through this post. I hope you will find it useful and stop making these mistakes.

In tomorrow’s post I will write about a mistake that you should avoid to prevent your Fiverr account from getting disabled. Remember above in this post, I mentioned that my first Fiverr account disabled this was due to the same mistake. So please stay for tomorrow's post.

Thanks for reading this one.

Have a great day!
