The Web Hosting I Currently Use to Host All of My Blogs

· 3 min read

This is the web hosting I currently use to host all of my blogs.

In my yesterday's post, I shared my experience with different web hosting companies. Basically, I started with Godaddy shared hosting and tried all their different shared plans. When my traffic increased, I switched to their Business plan. My experience with Godaddy business hosting was okayish, and I continued using it till May 2020.

I had been using Godaddy ever since I came into Blogging, and at that time, I was looking for a change. I started my research around different web hosting. I watched many videos, read tons of articles, and contacted several Bloggers in the industry. I came to know about several companies that were offering VPS solutions, but most of them were unmanaged. I didn't want to go into managing a web server and was searching for a managed solution.

During the research, I came across Cloudways. At first, I was not very sure about them, but they were offering a three-day free trial. Most importantly, they were not asking me to enter my credit card details.

Next, I worried about migrating my site, and even on that front, Cloudways services were excellent. They were offering one free migration. Also, they had a free migrator plugin.

I was impressed with all of this and signed up for the free trial on 14th May 2020. As Cloudways offers servers from five different Cloud providers, I went with Digital Ocean and created my first server.

The very same day, I migrated my website. They were also offering unlimited free SSL and backup as early as hourly for an additional $0.5. I wanted to experience Cloudways customer support, so while migrating, I asked them for help, and they were speedy to respond. After the migration, I experienced a faster load time for my website.

What I liked the most about Cloudways were its hourly charges. Where every other hosting company wanted to lock customers into yearly or multi-year plans, Cloudways was happy giving its customer the choice to pay monthly. On top of that, there was no upfront payment; they work on a postpaid basis. So, first, use the service and then pay the bills.

As I had written in my previous post that I was paying 1811 Rupees per month for Godaddy Business hosting. In Cloudways, the server I had created was for just $10. So when the three days free trial period ended, I decided to keep using Cloudways as my web host. And since that day, I still use Cloudways for all my hosting needs.

None of my websites have faced any kind of major issue so far. If anything, the support is fabulous. At present, I have four different servers with them for different websites I manage.

In the last three years, if anyone has asked me for a web-hosting recommendation and they have at least a monthly budget of $10, I confidently suggest them to go with Cloudways. Everyone who has signed up for Cloudways after my recommendation is still with them.

In my opinion, Cloudways is the dream hosting company for any blogger.

That's all I wanted to write in this post.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
