How I Got 720k Page Views in a Month on TechYorker
I got 720k page views in a month on my Blog TechYorker. This is how I did it.
In my previous post, I shared how I progressed after quitting Fiverr. At the end of my last post, I said I received 720k page views on TechYorker in March 2021. In today’s post, I will share how exactly I did it.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, after I stopped freelancing, I had more time to dedicate to my website. I started diversifying my income sources by publishing articles with purchase intent. But as you may know, It will be tough for Affiliate articles to bring lakhs of page views a month. So I was always looking for some trends in the industry that I could follow to get lots of visitors.
In January 2021, I found a similar sub-niche in which I saw the potential to get visitors. That sub-niche was Quiz Answers.
At that time, E-commerce platforms Amazon, Flipkart, and Khatabook were hosting several quizzes on their platforms. In which the winners were getting Gift card vouchers, smartphones, and other awards. As soon as the quizzes were going live, users were searching for correct answers on the web.
Already a few websites were providing those answers, and when I checked their traffic, I found they are getting visitors in millions. So, I also decided to answer quiz answers on our website. I created a separate Quiz Answers category and started publishing content around those quiz answers.
As TechYorker was more than two years old, the content started ranking, and within no time, I started seeing a massive number of visitors. I started at the end of January 2021 and did it with full force in February. In Feb, the site got over 183k page views. But the highest traffic site received was in March, where the page views numbers were 720k. At peak, the real-time was touching 1000+.
You guys may be curious about how exactly I discovered this niche. So, Let me share how I find it. I was trying out hands in different sub-niches. Doing the same, I published a few Quiz Answers at the end of December 2020. At that time, I didn’t have much idea that this niche had the potential to get millions of visitors a month. Those two posts worked well, and when I was analyzing the traffic stats in January, I saw those two posts performing well. Then I dig deeper into it only to find out that this niche has the potential to get visitors. So this was the story behind finding the niche.
Everything was going well, but I was concerned about the Quiz Answers content not aligning with my vision of running TechYorker. I started it as a proper Tech Blog, and answering Quiz Answers had little to do with Tech.
Although I continued working in this Quiz Answers niche for the next few months, I changed my strategy. As this post is already going longer, I will continue the story in the next post tomorrow.
Thanks for reading my posts every day. Wishing all of you a productive day ahead!
