How Much Money I Make From Blogging
This is how much money I make from Blogging.
In yesterday’s post, I talked about a common mistake that most bloggers make while doing sponsored posts on their blog. The yesterday’s post also summed up my series of posts around monetizing and making money from a blog. I explained everything from making money through Ads, affiliates, and sponsorships. I hope now you guys have a better understanding of all the possible opportunities for monetizing a blog.
While writing these posts, I thought you guys might be interested in knowing how much money I make from Blogging through all these sources. So, in today’s post, I will talk about it and break down the money I make from advertising, affiliate sales, to sponsor posts. Let’s start.
Advertising: Let’s first start with advertising. It is my primary source of revenue across all my blogs. I believe advertising revenue is the most stable revenue source for a blog. So, my entire focus is towards growing my advertising revenue. Now, in advertising, I currently use two different ad networks, Adsense and Mediavine. Out of six active websites I have currently, four of them are running Adsense ads, and the remaining two are on Mediavine. Now talking about the earnings from advertising, I make somewhere around $1500-2000 from ads. Out of which, $1500 is generated through Mediavine, and the remaining $500 is from Google Adsense. So, this is how my typical advertising earnings look like currently.
Affiliate Sales: Next up, talking about affiliate sales, I am not a huge fan of making money from affiliate sales. The only reason is; to make affiliate sales, I need to publish purchase intent articles like reviews, comparisons, and buying guides. With no access to most hardware and software products, it is impossible to write a genuine article that helps readers. So, I publish very few purchase intent articles. Still, I do have some 100 purchase intent articles across all my websites. In terms of revenue, these articles make me a round about $500 per month. In some months, it even goes to $600, and in some months, it drops as low as $100.
Sponsored Post: The last revenue source I have is sponsored posts. As I wrote in my previous couple of posts, I avoid most sponsored posts. The reason being most people who reach out to me for sponsored posts ask for do-follow links, which I couldn’t provide. It is very rare for a true sponsor to reach me. Still, whenever it happens, I charge an amount for a post. It depends upon the site on which a sponsor wants to publish a post. But in a nutshell, I get somewhere around $500 per sponsored post.
So, these are my three revenue sources from Blogging. If we combine all of them together, my monthly revenue ranges between $2500-3000. I started Blogging in 2017, and after six years, this is what I make. This is a realistic figure you can expect to earn from Blogging. I believe in building a stable revenue source, so I don’t look for short-term opportunities and invest my time and effort in long-term goals.
That’s all I wanted to share in this post.
Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
