Suppose you started following the strategy, and now you are staying updated with the latest trends. Now the real question is how exactly you can convert trends into an evergreen.

By now, you will have a niche around which you have been staying updated with the latest news. You can convert a trend into evergreen by changing its intent. The topic will remain the same. What you will do is change the article type. Below are a few article types in which you can convert any trend.

Comparison: Generally, comparison posts are evergreen in feature. If there is news around a certain topic, try to find if you can find any comparison angle within it. If you see there is any, then try publishing a comparison article around that. E.g., Intel launched its software Intel Unison, which competes with Microsoft Phone Link, So I published an article on Intel Unison vs. Phone Link on TechYorker.

Listicles: You can also think if there is a listicle around that trend. Listicles mean the typical list posts in which a few products or services are listed in an order. These articles usually include Best in their title. Also, these are the article types in which you can use affiliate links and make a decent income.

Review: If the trend is around a product or service and you have access to it. You can write a detailed review around it. Now your content will not fade right away. As long as people use that thing, there will be searchers looking for its detailed review.

How To’s: Next, you can think if you can cover that trend as a How to article. It will increase the shelf life of that article. Even in How-to’s, there are a couple of different types of How to’s.

Tips & Tricks: The first type of How to is tips & tricks. You can try covering a topic in the form of How to Use it. Basically, you will be guiding readers about how they can use a product or service. E.g., How to Use Intel Unison

Fixes: Next, you can check if there is a possibility of covering that topic as a troubleshooting guide. It may not work in every niche, but in my niche Tech it works very well. One good example of a Fix article is “How to Fix Intel Unison Not Working in Windows 11.”
