Earn More as a Content Writer by Working with International Clients
This is how you can earn more as a content writer.
In my yesterday’s post, I suggested beginner content writers to not worry about pay in the initial phase of their career. However, once someone has worked for a few months, they would definitely want to earn more. So, in today’s post, I will write about how you can start earning more as a content writer.
The best way to earn more as a content writer is by working with International clients. Start your writing career working with domestic clients at whatever best pay you are getting. When you have worked for at least one year, have a solid portfolio, and are confident that your writing is of an International level, try to work with International clients.
When working Internationally, you will get paid higher, similar to what many highly paid writers earn. The highest I have got paid by an Indian client is 4 Rs. per word, whereas Internationally, I have got paid 8-11 Rs. per word. So, this is the best advice for all of you to increase your income.
Your next question may be, how can I find International clients? To answer that, let me write about how I found my initial international clients. I started my writing career in 2017, and till 2021 I was primarily writing on my Blog. In 2021, when I started offering my services as a content writer, my first Gig was for a domestic client.
At the same time, I found an International client through Upwork, which used to pay me $15 per 1000 words. Later, I found more international clients on Fiverr and got paid as high as $100 for writing a 1000-word article. You can use freelance platforms like Fiverr or Upwork to get high-paying international clients.
If you don’t want to go with freelance platforms, you can also look for direct international clients. For that, create a list of all the International sites within your niche and start reaching out to them through their website hiring page or social media platforms. I used the same approach to reach international clients back in the day.
As my niche is Tech, I created a list of Tech sites and contacted them. Some site owners replied, and I was working with international clients in no time. You may find it challenging to get the first gig as your current portfolio may not be able to convince the client. In that situation, try working with a domestic client who is internationally acclaimed. It will increase your chances of landing international clients.
Once you work with one international client, there will be no going back. You can share your work with the following clients and get more work. Many writers working with low-paying clients don’t know about it and get paid less. I have given this suggestion to many writers within my circle, and within a few months, they increased their income significantly.
So this was a simple suggestion to earn more as a content writer. Give it a try, and you should also be able to increase your income.
That’s all in this post. I hope some of you will find it helpful.
Thanks!
Have a great day!
