Start a Blog and Grow It Into a Media and Publishing Business

Take this approach to start a blog and grow it into a media and publishing business.

In yesterday’s post, I announced a new series of posts about making money from product business. Within the product business, I mentioned that I will be writing first about making money from the media business.

When I say making money from the media business, most people get confused. They often think that I am talking about starting a print Newspaper or a satellite TV channel. No, guys, those media businesses are not hot anymore. With media business, I am referring to Digital Media business. Let me simplify it further.

One term with which most of you will already be familiar with is Blogging. Some of you may already have a Blog of your own. With Digital Media business, I am also referring to Blogging but with a completely different approach.

When most beginners start a Blog, they often think of it as a way to make a few hundred dollars a month. This is pretty common, and even I used to think the same back in 2017 when I started my first blog TechnicalRatnesh.

But over the period of five and half years, I have experienced that if done correctly, Blogging has all the potential to grow as a huge Digital Media business.

The day I realized it, I stopped thinking that I am a Blogger and started thinking as I am running a Digital media business. Since that day, my business has grown exponentially, and now I have five sites under my business Yorker Media and a team of 20+ people.

Currently, if someone asks me to help them start their Blog. The first thing I ask them their goal from Blogging. Whether they want to start a personal blog where they will share their personal experience or around a wider industry like Tech, Finance, Sports, etc.

If they are not going to start a personal blog, but their Blog is going to be in a specific niche, I suggest them to take their Blog as a Digital Media business. The start will be modest and similar to how anyone starts a Blog, but with the right approach, it will be possible to grow the blog into a media business.

So even to all of you guys, with all of my posts in this series, I will share exactly how you can start a Blog in which you can grow into a huge digital media business.

With this post, I wanted to convey that the message is Blogging can be done as a Digital Media business. I will guide you guys through my posts in this series so stay tuned with this mindset.
