My Thoughts About Audio Content and Podcasting

· 3 min read

Hi Everyone,

I hope you guys are doing great and reading my daily posts.

In my previous post, I wrote about how you can create and share video content as an individual creator. I hope some of you will implement those suggestions when creating video content.

Moving forward, another form of content one can create is Audio. So, in today’s post, I will share what I think about Audio content. Let’s start.

By Audio content here, I mean Podcast. Almost all of you must have listened to a Podcast in the last few years. Many think podcasting is a new form of content. Although podcasting has got a lot of traction in the last few years, it was invented way back in January 2004 by Adam Curry and Dave Winer.

These days most popular creators have a podcast of their own. Be it The Waveform Podcast by MKBHD, Lew Later by Unbox Therapy, and many more.

If we analyze some of the popular Podcasts, we will find most Podcaster were creating content early, be it in Text form or Video form. When they saw a new form of content getting immense popularity, they then got on to this bandwagon.

By this fact, I think one should start a Podcast once they already have some following on social media by creating text or video content. In my opinion, it will be hard to get going for someone starting their content creation journey with Podcast. That’s the reason why I haven’t tried Podcasting yet.

I have no first-hand experience with podcasting, so I can’t share an exact strategy for starting a Podcast. As I had talked about three forms of content and have already talked about text and video content in the last few posts, it was time for me to write about the Audio form of content. So, I shared my thoughts about podcasting and who should get into it.

With this post, I am ending my series of posts about individual content creation. This series was not as long as the previous one because I am still very new to content creation. I didn’t have much knowledge, which I have personally experienced, and I wouldn’t like to educate others about something that I do not have much idea about.

That’s all I have in this post. In the coming post, I will plan a new series, so stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
